WATERLOO - Doyle "Dusty" Ray Brunson, 55, of Suquamish, Wash., formerly of Waterloo, died Tuesday, June 29, of cancer.

He was born May 12, 1955, at Great Lakes Naval Hospital, Ill., son of Roy and Ida Lubert Brunson. He married Chris Brinyark; they later divorced.

Mr. Brunson graduated from Waterloo Central High School in 1973 and had worked for Wal-Mart in California and retired in Washington. He was a drummer for Mike Price and Ray Coble, a member of Royals Drum and Bugle Corp., and past president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Paulsbo, Wash.

Survived by: his mother, Ida Brunson; three sisters, Cheryl Bogardus and Anita Kirby, both of Waterloo, and Bobbi Starkey of Illinois; a brother, Scott Brunson of Waterloo; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: his father, Roy Brunson.
