WATERLOO - JoAnn Carman, 66, of Waterloo, died Friday, July 2, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics of natural causes.

She was born July 31, 1943, in Waterloo, daughter of Clarence and Maxine Bergom Otto. She married Robert G. "Bob" Carman Oct. 5, 1965, in Waterloo.

Mrs. Carman was employed by the Waterloo Community School district as a secretary for over 20 years, retiring in 2005.

Survived by: her husband; a son, Michael Carman of China; a daughter, Terri (Bob) Everett of Dallas; a sister, Janice (Carl) Brust of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and five grandchildren.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball. The family will greet friends at a luncheon immediately following the service.
