CEDAR FALLS — Paul L. Foster, 95, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, June 21, at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community, Waverly.

He was born Dec. 20, 1914, in Waterloo, son of Charles and Olive King Foster. He married Dorothy Brown. She died in 2008.

Mr. Foster graduated from Waterloo East High in 1934. He was an artist in many different areas, including murals and sign painting. He was a color specialist for painting contractors as well as a craftsman of speakers. He was a member of the National Organist's Society.

Survived by: a son, Gib of Rochester, Ind.; a daughter, Char Thomas of Cedar Falls; a grandson, Seth (Kelly) of Boone; and a great-granddaughter, Sophie Thomas of Boone.

Preceded in death by: many siblings.

Services: 10 a.m. Thursday at Linden United Methodist Church, Waterloo, preceded by an hour of visitation. Burial will be in Spangler Cemetery, Aurora. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, Waterloo, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials: may be directed to the family.

Paul was involved with music, especially the organ, and he was a "dyed in the wool" Iowa Hawkeye fan
