WATERLOO — Louinza R. Kouns, 92, of Waterloo, died Monday, June 21, at Manor Care Health Services.

She was born Sept. 2, 1917, in Combs, Ark., daughter of John and Sara Hendrickson Gabbard. She married Charles R. Kouns on June 30, 1948, in Nashua. He died May 9, 2009.

Survived by: two sons, Harold (Verlyn) Allen of Jesup and Chester Allen of Herford, Ariz.; a daughter, LuAnn (Jim) Kulis of Waterloo; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Eugene Gabbard of Waterloo; and a brother-in-law, Marion Kouns of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: a brother, Deloy Gabbard; and four sisters-in-law, Beverly Kouns, Betty Gabbard, Beverly Gabbard and Hazel Kouns.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Waterloo Memorial Park Chapel at Memorial Park Cemetery, with burial in the cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, and for an hour before services Thursday at the chapel.
