WATERLOO - Thomas J. Beadle, 95, of Dubuque, formerly of Waterloo and Galena, Ill., died Thursday, June 17, at Luther Manor.

He was born April 1, 1915, in Dubuque, son of Elmer and Clara Collins Beadle. He married Marion A. Wohlers Nov.15, 1943, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dubuque. Mr. Beadle was an engineer for the Illinois Central Railroad in Dubuque and

Waterloo for 40 years, until retirement. Tom was a member of St. Michael's Parish in Galena and St. Raphael's Cathedral in Dubuque. He was a member and past deputy grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Waterloo Council 700 and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 510 and the Southend Club, both in Dubuque.

Survived by: his wife, Marion; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: four brothers, William, Robert, Clifford and Loras Beadle; and two sisters, Mildred Carpenter and Connie Kenneally.

Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Raphael's Cathedral, 231 Bluff St., with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Behr's Funeral Home, Dubuque, with a 3:30 p.m. parish wake service.

Memorial fund: has been established.

The family would like to thank the staff of Luther Manor and Hospice of Dubuque for their care and concern for Tom. A special thank you to a special friend, Margy Becker, and to Tom's nieces and nephews, who were there for Tom and Marion. Tom was the family historian, enjoyed traveling, reading, especially history and religion books, and was very proud of his Irish heritage.
