Waldemar Rasmussen, age about 28, died yesterday at Camp Dodge, a victim of influenza. The young man left Waterloo in the fore part of last July with a contingent of soldiers. P. R. Fergemann, president of Waterloo lodge, No. 212, Danish Brotherhood, of which the deceased was a member, was notified of the death. As the decedent had no relatives in this country, burial will be at Camp Dodge.
Soldier Rasmussen came to America about five years ago from Maribo, Denmark. During his residence in this community he was employed at farm work and in tiling. While in waterloo he made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Christ Petersen, 122 Wilby street.
