WATERLOO - Wilbur Carl Martin, 86, of Waterloo, died Sunday, May 16, at Allen Hospital.

He was born Aug. 13, 1923, in Waterloo, son of Arthur and Carol Butler Martin. He married Barbara Ladd. She died in 1994.

Mr. Martin graduated from Nashua High School and was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the southern Philippines and Japan. He worked seven years at John Deere and for nearly 30 years at the former Rath Packing Co.

Survived by: a son, Anthony of Waterloo; a stepson, Richard (Cynthia) Fauser of Florida; a sister-in-law, Florence Martin of Nashua; and three stepgrandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a brother, Eugene.

Services: 1 p.m. Friday at Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home, Nashua, preceded by an hour of visitation. Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery, Nashua, with military honors by the Nashua VFW Post 6792.
