WATERLOO — Ora L. Tims, 80, of Waterloo, died Friday, May 14, at Allen Hospital of natural causes.

She was born March 2, 1930, in Durant, Miss., daughter of Morgan and Ora Dallas Fisher. She married Lloyd C. Tims on July 27, 1949.

She graduated from Holmes County Training High School in Durant, Miss. She worked for Hickory Cafe, Barton Convalescent Home, Schoitz Memorial Hospital, and retired from John Deere Tractor Works. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Survived by: her husband, Lloyd; two daughters, Marian Allen and Brenda Tims, both of Waterloo; two sons, Lloyd Jr. (Kimberly) of Waterloo and Ricardo (Ida) of Apple Valley, Minn.; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Bernice Cain of Detroit; a sister-in-law, Susie Fisher of Waterloo; and nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: a daughter, Genola Tims Miller; a great-grandson, Victor Michael Allen; four brothers, John D. Fisher, Morgan Fisher Jr., Allen Fisher and Rubin Fisher; and a sister, Mattie Huggins.

Services: 1 p.m. Friday at Antioch Baptist Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the church. Locke Funeral Home is assisting the family.
