WATERLOO — Wallace D. Taylor, 73, of Waterloo, died Friday, May 14, at Allen Hospital.

He was born Aug. 3, 1936, in Caldwell, Mo., son of Ambrose and Juanita Whitlock Taylor. He married Nellie F. Brooks on June 26, 1955, in Kennett, M.

Mr. Taylor worked for Harvestore, John Deere & Co. and later drove semi-trailer trucks.

Survived by: his wife, of Waterloo; a daughter, Cheryl F. Taylor of Waterloo; three sons, Darrell L. (Lynn) and Allen J. Taylor, both of Waterloo, and Cleveland W. “Bub” (Cindy) of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Adam L. (Heather) Taylor, Kimberlee M. Taylor, Kaitlyn M. Taylor, Kyle A. Taylor and Drew M. Peters; a great-grandson, Gabriel Taylor; and two brothers, Hurschell (friend Charlotte Hansen) of Brooklyn, Iowa, and Danny (Tula) of Mesa, Ariz.

Preceded in death by: his parents; a son, Kendall A. , on Sept. 3, 1975; and a brother, Homer.

Services: No visitation or services are planned. Cremation rites will take place, with inurnment in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Garden View Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
