WATERLOO - Delbert L. Miller, 71, of Waterloo, died Thursday, May 6, at Covenant Medical Center of pulmonary fibrosis.

He was born July 24, 1938, in Waterloo, son of Frederick and Nina Rutledge Miller. He married Sherrilie Cobb on June 25, 1960, in Waterloo; they were later divorced. He married Peggy Zobel Stevenson on Oct. 18, 2000, in Las Vegas.

He served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1958 until 1964. Mr. Miller was a security guard at John Deere for 27 years, retiring in 2000.

Survived by: his wife; three sons, Dennis (Beth Ann Scott) of Janesville, Douglas (Katherine) of Shakopee, Minn., and Donald (Julie) of Brooklyn Park, Minn.; a daughter, Cristi (Daniel) Hagedorn of Waterloo; three stepdaughters, Diane (Ronald) Nicholson of Waverly, Carol Welsh of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Cheryl Stevenson of Stewartville, Minn.; two brothers, Donald (Donna) of Waterloo and Derald of Washburn; 11 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a sister, Donna Raisch; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Miller.

Services: no services are being planned, cremation rites have been accorded. Public visitation from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel.
