WATERLOO — Elizabeth E. Moore, 76, of Waterloo, died at home Saturday, May 1.

She was born Sept. 16, 1933, in Pittsburgh, Pa., daughter of J. Raymond and Margarette Page Moore. She graduated from Jefferson High School, Jefferson, Pa., and earned a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls. She was a teacher in the Waterloo Community Schools for 30 years, retiring in 1987.

Ms. Moore’s memberships included the National Education Association and the Delta Kappa Gamma Society. She was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Air Force from 1952-1955.

Survived by: a sister, Louise Summersgill of Fredericktown, Pa.; a brother, J. Raymond Moore Jr. of Finleyville, Pa.; and longtime friend, Hazel Worrall of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: her parents; and a sister, Dorothy Pryor.

Cremation rites: have been accorded and inurnment will be in Ruff Creek Cemetery, Ruff Creek, Pa. No visitation or services are being planned. The Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
