WATERLOO — Marian Louise Hyde, 86, of Riverside, Mo., formerly of Waterloo, died Sunday, April 18, at North Kansas City Hospital following a sudden illness.

She was born Sept. 7, 1923, on a farm outside Shell Rock in Butler County, daughter of Warren and Georgia E. Shelton Scoles. She married George E. Hyde in 1945, and they later divorced.

Survived by: four sons, Walter of Phoenix, Steve (Marian) of Marshalltown, Dan (Masumi) of Cedar Falls and George (Catherine) of Okeechobee, Fla.; a daughter, Candice (Bryan) Dzingle of Kansas City, Mo.; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a sister, Geraldine May Scoles.

Services: 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home, Kansas City, Mo. Her body was cremated.
