WATERLOO - Harold "Denny" Beaumont, 64, of Waterloo, died Friday, April 23, at Allen Hospital of heart failure.

He was born Jan. 12, 1946, in Decorah, son of Thomas and Arlene Rue Beaumont. He married Beverly A. Smith on Dec. 6, 1995, in Waterloo.

Mr. Beaumont was an entertainer for many years, singing and playing the guitar with his first band, Denny and the Dynamics. While in the service, he directed the U.S. Navy Band, and later he worked as a solo act. He traveled all over the Midwest and was the opening act for several famous groups. In recent years, he had worked as a sales representative for several businesses in the Cedar Valley. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.

Survived by: his wife; four sons, Rick (Kruawan) Beaumont of Indianapolis, Lou Beaumont of Des Moines and David and Chad Haines, both of Waterloo; and a daughter, Rhonda Haines of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: his parents.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Garden View Chapel, Waterloo, with burial and full military honors at 2 p.m. at Lincoln Lutheran Cemetery, rural Ridgeway. Public visitation from 9 a.m. until services Saturday at the chapel.
