WATERLOO - Celeste "Letty" Miller, 79, of Dixon, N.M., formerly of Waterloo, died at home March 30.

She was born July 15, 1930, in Waterloo, daughter of May and Roger Miller. She graduated from St. Mary's College, Notre Dame, Ind., then joined the Order of the Holy Cross, earning degrees in political science and theology. She taught political science for 17 years at Holy Cross College, Dhaka, Bangladesh, until 1970 when she left the order and returned to the United States. She moved to New Mexico where she taught political science at the College of Santa Fe.

She earned her MSW from Highlands University in 1980 and worked as an art therapist at the Battered Women's Shelter and Santa Maria El Mirador. She also was a tapestry weaver.

Survived by: a brother, Richard L. Miller of Naples, Fla.; and her partner, Sarita Pene.

Services: were March 31, with burial in Compo Santo Catolico de Talpa.
