WATERLOO — Jane E. Schmadeke, 73, of Coon Rapids, Minn., formerly of Waterloo, died at her home Wednesday, April 14, of natural causes.

She was born Oct. 2, 1936, in Nashua, daughter of Lester and Maxine Speedling Carr. She married Donald W. Schmadeke on Dec. 26, 1955, in Waterloo. He died Sept. 1, 2008.

Mrs. Schmadeke graduated from Our Lady of Victory Academy in 1954 and was a homemaker.

Survived by: a son, Brian of Waterloo; a grandson, Jeremy Schmadeke of Waterloo; and a sister-in-law, Marlys Carr of Caro, Mich.

Preceded in death by: a brother, Don Carr.

Services: were 10:30 a.m. today at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Locke Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
