WATERLOO - Dorothy C. Neebel, 81, of Waterloo, died Saturday, April 17, in her home.

She was born Nov. 25, 1928, in Waterloo, daughter of Ralph and Mildred Niedert Caughron. She married James D. Neebel Nov. 26, 1944, in Waterloo.

She owned The Dry Sink antique store in Denver from 1976-87. She was a charter member of Ascension Lutheran Church. She was a Fellowship Committee member and taught vacation Bible school.

Survived by: her husband, James D. Neebel; two daughters, Kathy Gleason of Waterloo and Rebecca (Ron) Nargang of Cannon Falls, Minn.; a son, Michael Neebel of Mesa, Ariz.; six grandchildren, James Gleason, Jeff (Lisa) Gleason, Dana, Brandy, Jennifer (John) Chernaga, and Sarah Nargang; and nine great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a daughter Dorothy; three brothers, Carl, Ralph Jr. and Jack Caughron; and a stepfather, Jack Elgas.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ascension Lutheran Church, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Locke Funeral Home, 233 6138.
