WATERLOO — Patrick H. "Pat" Quigley, 74, of Waterloo, died Monday, April 5, at Cedar Falls Health Care Center, Cedar Falls, from complications of a stroke.

He was born Oct. 22, 1935, in Prairie City, son of Henry P. and Sara Scheffers Quigley. He married Jeaneane Vich in January 1957 in Waterloo, and they were divorced in 1977. He married Carmen Schumann on July 24, 1994, in Cedar Falls.

Mr. Quigley graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1954. He served a four-year tool and die apprenticeship at Schoitz Engineering, graduating in 1958, and worked there for 25 years. He then worked at John Deere and Co. as a tool and die maker for 21 years, retiring in 1998. He also served in the National Guard.

Survived by: his wife; a son, Rick (Connie) of Marysville, Calif.; a daughter, Shelly (Ron) Cornwell of Waterloo; three stepsons, Steve (Kris) Wilson of Waterloo, Shawn (Ellen) Wilson of Madison, Ala., and Dwain (Geannie) Schumann of Humboldt; a stepdaughter, Lisa (Tony) Smith of Waterloo; a sister, Barb Smith of Waterloo; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: his parents.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with cremation to follow. Public visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday and for an hour before services Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials: may be directed to the family.

Pat enjoyed visiting parks, watching wildlife, working with tools, camping, boating, fishing, riding in the car, and sports, especially the Minnesota Vikings and Iowa Hawkeyes.
