WATERLOO - Alma Fern Stevenson Lynch, 88, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, March 31, at Friendship Village, Waterloo.

She was born Oct. 10, 1922, daughter of Zilla Shankland and Albert Stevenson. She married Herbert Lewis Lynch in 1945, in Thedford, Neb.

She graduated from University of Nebraska with distinction in 1947. Mrs. Lynch was a member of the WAVES during World War II. She taught high school and was a homemaker.

Survived by: her husband, Lewis; three daughters, Annette, Frances Ayres and Susan Altmaier; and a son, Steven.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at St. Edward's Catholic Church, Waterloo. Public visitation for an hour before services. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Thedford, Neb.

Memorials: may be directed to the Audubon Society in lieu of flowers.
