CEDAR FALLS - MaryJane Louise Nauman, 80, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, March 29, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo.

She was born Oct. 2, 1929, in Independence, daughter of Paul and Margaret Holt Cooley. She married Ernest I. Nauman on Nov. 7, 1947, in Waterloo.

Mrs. Nauman attended Waterloo West High School. She worked for the Cedar Falls School System as a crossing guard for many years, retiring in 2009.

Survived by: her husband; two sons, Ernest I. Jr. (Sandi) of Spearfish, S.D., and Kevin C. (Lonna) of Panora; three daughters, Pam (Ron) Luders and Tammy (Tom) Nicholson, both of Cedar Falls, and Cindy Straight of Waterloo; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Les Cooley of Hiawatha; and a sister, Joan Barrett of Phoenix.

Preceded in death by: a grandson; and two sisters, Evelyn and Pauline.

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Christ Lutheran Church, Waterloo, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Cedar Falls. Public visitation was Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home.
