LULOFF, MENZEL, GERSTENBERGER, HOMEISTER

WATERLOO — Lowell Charles "Lou" Luloff, 79, of Waterloo, formerly of Waverly, died at home Monday, March 22.

He was born Feb. 6, 1931, in Waverly, son of Oscar George and Gladys Ann Menzel Luloff. He married Roberta Gerstenberger on May 13, 1956, in Waverly. She preceded him in death.

Mr. Luloff graduated from Waverly High School in 1948, then worked as a carpenter and construction worker until he was drafted into the U.S. Army. He then worked for Don Visor Road Construction from 1956 to 1966, when he started at John Deere, Waterloo, retiring in 1986. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Waterloo.

Survived by: two sons, Charles and Roy (Teresa), both of Waterloo; two daughters, Jane Luloff of Chandler, Ariz., and Amy (Dan) Homeister of Allison; five grandchildren; and a brother, Dick of Waverly.

Preceded in death by: a daughter, Rae Ann Luloff.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, with burial in Warren Cemetery, rural Waverly. Graveside military honors will be conducted by Waverly American Legion. Public visitation today at the funeral home, with family present 5 to 8 p.m.
