LA PORTE CITY -- Erma D. Feller, 97, of the Denver Sunset Home, Denver, formerly of La Porte City, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 1999, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo, from complications of a stroke.

She was born Feb. 9, 1902, near Keystone, daughter of Richard and Elizabeth Jungclaus Gein. She married Cecil A. Feller on Dec. 20, 1922. He died Feb. 13, 1983.

Survived by: a son, Duane of Denver; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Henrietta Robb of Fort Collins, Colo.

Preceded in death by: a son, Lee; a brother, Merle Gein; and two sisters, Amanda Thomas and Lavanda Gein.

Services: 1 p.m. today at American Lutheran Church, La Porte City, with burial in Dysart Cemetery, Dysart. Huisman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
