WATERLOO -- Anna K. Gander, 72, of 234 Spieker Road, died Monday, Oct. 4, 1999, at home of natural causes.

She was born April 22, 1927, in Woodward, daughter of John W. and Berla Kirkman Renfrow. She married Charles Gander on Aug. 24, 1947, in St. Joseph, Mo. He died in 1989.

Mrs. Gander had been employed at Hinson Manufacturing Co. as a warehouse clerk for 16 years, retiring in 1978.

Survived by: a daughter, Berla Edsill of Des Moines; two sons, James and Chuck, both of Waterloo; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Edna Rice of Rippey and Kathy Mullihan of Maxwell.

Preceded in death by: a son, Terry; five brothers; and two sisters.

Services: 2 p.m. Thursday at Heartland Vineyard Church, with burial in Garden of Memories. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Parrott & Wood Family Funeral Care.

Memorial fund: is being established.
