WATERLOO -- Dorothy Kowall, 77, formerly of Waterloo, died Thursday, Oct. 28, 1999, in Salt Lake City, Utah, of natural causes.

She was born Feb. 17, 1922, in Waterloo, daughter of Glenn and Mildred Smith. She married Dr. Rex Smith. He preceded her in death.

Survived by: two daughters, Kimberley Rankin of Barrington, Ill., and Barbara Treschitta of Salt Lake City; and two grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: an infant sister, Marion Smith.

Services: were handled by Garner Funeral Home, Salt Lake City.
