WATERLOO — Christina A. Wenthold, 67, of Decorah, died Sunday, March 14, at Cedar Falls Lutheran Home of cancer.

She was born Feb. 26, 1943, in Cherokee, daughter of Alfred Monroe and Ruth Anderson Beard. She married Darrell Wenthold on May 7, 1977, in Decorah.

Mrs. Wenthold graduated from Waterloo Orange High School.

Survived by: her husband; three sons, Gary (Roxanne) Chilcote of Waterloo, Grant (Michelle) Chilcote of Hudson and Dennis of Charles City; two daughters, Kelly (Rick) Andorf of Hudson and Kristy (Chris) Wrage of Hudson; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth (Bob) Hillock of Carlisle and Helen Beard of Red Wing, Minn.; two brothers-in-law, Ollie Nordstrom of Stillwater, Minn., and Donald of Decorah; and a sister-in-law, Elaine Ness of Marietta, Ga.

Preceded in death by: a son, Greg Chilcote; and three sisters, Carol Nordstrom, Beverly Beard and Jean Beard.

Services: noon Wednesday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, Waterloo, with burial at a later date. Public visitation 11 a.m. until services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials: may be directed to the family or to Cedar Valley Hospice.

Christina enjoyed watching finches and hummingbirds and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
