WATERLOO - Evelyn Melick, 90, of Cedar Falls Western Home, formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, Feb. 26, at Sartori Memorial Hospital, Cedar Falls.

She was born May 26, 1919, in Hanlontown, daughter of Clifford and Hazel Calhoun McNelly. She married Clyde Melick on Aug. 22, 1936, in Waterloo.

Survived by: her husband; a son, David (Mary) of Waterloo; a daughter, Kathy (Patrick) Joyce of Evansdale; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a son, Michael; a sister, Betty Lawless; and two brothers, H.L. and Cecil McNelly.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Walnut Ridge Baptist Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Locke Funeral Home.

Memorials: may be directed to the church or Iowa Regular Baptist Camp, Ventura.
