WATERLOO - Junelle Johnson, 88, formerly of Waterloo, died Monday, Feb. 15, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home.

She was born June 12, 1921, in Grundy Center, daughter of Thomas and Ella Seivers Johnson. She married Afton C. Johnson on May 28, 1950, at Waterloo First United Methodist Church. He died in 1962.

Mrs. Johnson graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1939, then from Gates Business College. She worked in the payroll department at John Deere, did civil service work during World War II in Texas and Kansas, worked in advertising art and layout for the Waterloo Courier and was a member of Waterloo First United Methodist Church.

Survived by: a daughter, Debbie (Jeff) Foulk of Waterloo; and two grandchildren, Scott Foulk of St. Paul, Minn., and Sara Foulk of Chicago.

Preceded in death by: her parents; and two sisters, Ruth Fergason and Clara May Considine

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
