WATERLOO - Helen June Paige, 89, of Sebring, Fla., formerly of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, in Lake Placid, Fla., of natural causes.

She was born June 26, 1920, in LaPorte City, daughter of Elmer and Ruth Sterling Paige.

She graduated from West High School in 1938 and furthered her education, graduating from the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, in 1945. Helen never married.

She served as a missionary in Peru for the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism for 41 years and retired in 1987. She taught women and children at various churches along the Amazon River.

Survived by: a sister-in-law, Ruth Paige of Grundy Center; numerous nieces and nephews; and her loyal friend in mission work, Edna Hull of Sebring.

Preceded in death by: her parents; and two brothers, Max Paige and Warren Paige.

Graveside services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Westview Cemetery, LaPorte City. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials: may be directed to Walnut Ridge Baptist Church Missionary Fund.

Helen was loved by all and will be greatly missed, but she will live on in the lives of all she touched both in the United States and Peru.
