Former Eagle Center Resident Services This Morning

Funeral services for Leonard J. (Mose) Rosauer, 68, of Dysart, will be held Thursday morning at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic church in Dysart. Rev. Francis Lana will officiate. Mr. Rosauer died Monday, Sept. 29, at St. Francis hospital in Waterloo, of a heart condition.

He was born at Eagle Center, west of La Porte City, on Jan. 1, 1890, the son of Peter and Eva Strubel Rosauer. He was married to Elizabeth Schmitz on Aug. 30, 1910 at Eagle Center. Mr. Rosauer farmed south of La Porte City until he retired in 1956 to his present home in Dysart.

Surviving are four daughters: Mrs. Weldon Christopher and Mrs. Cecil Christopher, both of La Porte City, Mrs. Evelyn Brown of Waterloo and Mrs. Robert Eastman of Fullerton, Calif.; two sons, Donald Rosauer of La Porte City and Eugene of Dysart; two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Scanlon and Mrs. Bert Gregory, both of Waterloo; two brothers, Leo of Waterloo and William of Hudson; 18 grandchildren.

Mr. Rosauer was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church at Dysart and the Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus Vinton council. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife in 1941, two daughters, one son, three brothers and four sisters.

Burial will be made in the Eagle Center cemetery.
