TEAGUE, BROWN, STEWART, ELLINGTON, LOVE

WATERLOO - L.C. Teague, 61, of 6287 Logan Ave., died Thursday, Jan. 14, at Allen Hospital of natural causes.

He was born Sept. 7, 1948, in Sallis, Miss., son of Charlie and Onie Brown Teague. He married Laura Mae Stewart on Nov. 5, 1970, in Waterloo.

Mr. Teague was employed at International Paper for more than 39 years and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

Survived by: his wife; his father of Waterloo; two sons, Derrick and Ondre, both of Waterloo; two grandchildren; two brothers, Henry (Myrtle) Teague of Waterloo and Kary Ellington of Sallis; and two sisters, Ida Mae Ellington and Lawanda Keisha Love, both of Sallis.

Preceded in death by: his mother; and a brother, Charlie E. Teague.

Services: noon Wednesday at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted at the church by American Legion Post 138 and VFW Post 1623 Honor Guard. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church. Greer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials: may be directed to the family at 6287 Logan Ave., where they will receive friends.
