WATERLOO - Kenneth Lloyd Gnade, 83, of Webster City, formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, at home.

He was born April 13, 1926, in Grand Meadow, Minn., son of Carl and Mabel Shaw Gnade. He married Grace B. Becker on Dec. 21, 1945, in Waterloo. She died June 7, 2005.

Mr. Gnade resided in Black Hawk County until 1941 and moved to Webster City in 1986. He worked at Rath Packing Co. for 29 years, then John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works until his retirement in 1978. He worked for Midas Transportation, Webster City, after his retirement.

Survived by: a son, Daniel (Judy) of Manteca, Calif.; a daughter, Barbara (Larry) Furman of Blairsburg; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mick (Bruce) Perrin and Ruth Weltzin, both of Waterloo, and Doris (Henry) Gerdis of Elk Run Heights.

Preceded in death by: his parents; a brother, Roland; two sisters, Helen Hatlestad and Gladys Kitterman; and a granddaughter, Brenda Odem

Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
