WATERLOO - Estella Schuler, 96, of Chicago, formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, Dec. 18, at Little Company of Mary Hospital, Chicago, of natural causes.

She was born Sept. 9, 1913, in Utica, Miss., daughter of Nathaniel Robinson and Ida Allen. She married Robert Schuler on Dec. 25, 1932. He died in 1992.

She was formerly an elevator operator, an instructor at Jesse Cosby Center and was a licensed midwife in Mississippi.

Survived by: five daughters, Ida Moore, Lonel Riley and Jacqueline Schuler, all of Chicago, Lula (Sylvester) Walker of Berryville, Va., and Elvessor (Thomas) Cooper of Capital Heights, Md.; a son, James (LaVern) of Spotsylvania, Va.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a son, Robert Jr.; three daughters, Pearlie Heath, Shirley McFadden and Betty Lee Schuler; and a sister, Louise Robinson.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Corinthian Baptist Church, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church, where there will be a 6 p.m. Eastern Star service, and for an hour before services Tuesdays, also at the church. Sanders Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
