WATERLOO - Everoul Joseph Schilling, 74, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Dec. 9, at Allen Hospital of natural causes.

He was born Jan. 30, 1935, in New Hampton, son of Frank and Bertha Bonfig Schilling. He married Leona Bruening on June 28, 1955, in New Hampton.

Mr. Schilling worked at John Deere and Co. as a forklift operator for 30 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and the Cedar Valley Wood Workers Association.

Survived by: his wife; four sons, Dale (Ann), Dean (Jessica) and Carl (Audra Bohling), all of Waterloo, and Neal (Corina) of Hudson; four daughters, Kathy (Brad) Carpenter of Waterloo, Barb (Greg) Appleby of Traer, Rose (Frank) Roe of Colona, Ill., and Ruth (Del) Hibner of Charles City; 24 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Celine “Dolly” Whiteman of New Hampton.

Preceded in death by: his parents; a grandchild, Jonathan Thompson; and a brother-in-law, Russell Whiteman.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with inurnment at a later date. Public visitation from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, where there will be a 7:30 p.m. Scripture service, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.
