CEDAR FALLS — Bernardine M. Braun, 89, of Cedar Falls, died at home Wednesday, Dec. 2, of natural causes.

She was born Nov. 3, 1920, in Eagle Center, daughter of William and Gertrude Schaefer Schneider. She married Harry W. Braun on Nov. 18, 1941, at St. Mary of Mount Carmel, Eagle Center.

Survived by: her husband; a son, Richard of Waterloo; a daughter, Romona (Lee) Voelschow of Waterloo; three granddaughters, Christine (Glenn) Alexander, Corrine (Jim) Brown and Melissa (Brad) Davis; five great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Brittany and Jessica Alexander and Sylvia and Annie Brown; and a sister, Mary Schneider of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: her parents; four brothers, Alfred, Carl, Francis and Richard Schneider; a sister, Catherine DeJaeger; and three infant grandchildren.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 6:30 p.m. vigil. There will be no visitation at the church before services.

Memorials: may be directed to Iowa Hospice or the church.

They were married 68 years. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker.
