JANESVILLE - Ruth Ann Johnston Dewey, 77, of Antioch, Tenn., formerly of Janesville, died at home Sunday, Nov. 29, following a long illness.

She was born June 19, 1932, in Cedar Falls, daughter of Floyd and Isabel Smalling Johnston. She married John “Jack” Dewey on June 3, 1952, in Janesville.

Mrs. Dewey was a homemaker.

Survived by: her husband; three daughters, Karen and Jan, both of Antioch, and Joan of Bolivar, Tenn.; a son, Steve (Sara) of Sumner; foreign exchange son, Mario Pino (Sheila Hofstedt) of Albuquerque, N.M.; four grandsons; two great-grandsons; and two sisters, Helen Neal George of Janesville and Mary Beth Kourey of Ankeny.

Preceded in death by: three brothers, Monty, Carl and Ray Johnston; and two sisters, Florence Conrow and Dorothy Hites.

Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Arlington United Methodist Church, Nashville, Tenn., with burial in Hermitage Memorial Gardens, Old Hickory, Tenn. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Hermitage Funeral Home, Old Hickory.

Memorials: may be directed to Alive Hospice, Nashville, or the church of donor’s choice.
