HUDSON — Richard M. "Dick" Mangold, 65, of Hudson, died Friday, June 10, at Sartori Memorial Hospital, Cedar Falls, of injuries suffered in a motor vehicle accident.

He was born Oct. 12, 1939, in Windom, Minn., son of Milferd and Hildred Smith Mangold. He married Judy L. Fink Oct. 23, 1965, in Northfield, Minn.

Mr. Mangold graduated from Westbrook, Minn., High School, served four years in the U.S. Air Force, had been employed at numerous food services in the area and for the last five years was a courier for Allen Hospital.

Dick loved his family dearly and especially enjoyed spending time with his two grandsons. He enjoyed life and was a member of the Hudson Lions Club.

Survived by: his beloved wife, Judy; two daughters, Julie Mangold of Waterloo, Wis., and Jill (Keith) Meyer of Hudson; two grandsons, Luke and Adam Meyer; a brother, Jerry (Sharon) of Faribault, Minn.; and three sisters, Marilyn Cohrs and Margaret McCullough, both of Chaska, Minn., and Ardis (Ted) Bray of Elk River Minn.

Preceded in death by: his parents; a brother, Fred; two brothers-in-law, Delwin Cohrs and Dick McCullough; a sister-in-law, Vi Mangold; and his daughter's fiance, Kevin Hafenstein.

Services: 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Parrot & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, with burial with military rites in Hudson Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until services Tuesday at the funeral home.
