NEW HARTFORD - Sylvia O. Schlamp, 91, of New Hartford, died Sunday, Nov. 15, at Shell Rock Healthcare Center.

She was born May 2, 1918, in Dike, daughter of Richard and Anna Rasmussen Christiansen. She married Mike Schlamp on Nov. 15, 1936, in Cedar Falls. He died Sept. 29, 1979.

Mrs. Schlamp cleaned homes and then was employed at the University of Northern Iowa in food service as a cook/supervisor, retiring in 1983.

Survived by: two sons, Dick (Doreen) of New Hartford and Mike (Marlys) of Cedar Falls; three daughters, Pat Brinkman of Spokane, Wash., Mary Ann (LeeRoy) Gerloff and Barb (Mike) Harper, both of New Hartford; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a grandson; a great-grandson; two brothers, Leslie and Milton Christiansen; and three sisters, Helen Christiansen, Elna Ritterath and Gladys Johnson.

Memorial Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at New Hartford United Methodist Church, with inurnment in Oak Hill Cemetery, New Hartford. Public visitation for an hour before services Wednesday at the church. Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, is in charge of arrangements
