Canada A. Troutwine, 77, of 945 McCoy Rd., Evansdale, died Friday at about 1:15 a.m. in the Woodlawn Convalescent Home of a cerebral hemorrhage.

He was born on September 30, 1885 in Boone County, the son of Alex and Hannah Troutwine. He was a retired farmer, having moved to Evansdale from Boone County in 1936.

On November 29, 1910, in Boone County, he married Hannah Harris. She survives him. Also surviving are nine sons: Roy, of Lewistown, Idaho; Alonzo, of Dayton, Iowa; Harley, of Moline, Illinois; William, of Otho; Donald, of Evansdale; Lawrence and James, both of Cleveland, Ohio; Francis, of Colona, Illinois, and Howard, of 425 Gladys St. One daughter, Mrs. Maxine Bass, 314 Rhey St., also survives, along with 38 grandchildren, two brothers, Nathan and Cecil, both of Kansas City, Missouri, and two sisters, Mrs. Amanda Wenski of Wyoming, and Mrs. Florence Shellhart of Boone.

A son, two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Funeral arrangements are being made by the Chapel of Memories.
