WATERLOO - Brenda Denise Tyler, 49, of 221 Courtland St., died Tuesday, Oct. 27, at Cedar Valley Hospice of natural causes.

She was born July 8, 1960, in Iowa City, daughter of Ike Lee and Annie Fisher Buchanan.

She was a waitress at area restaurants for many years.

Survived by: her father and stepmother, Ike and Mary Buchanan of Waterloo; former stepmother, Margarite Johnson of Waterloo; a daughter, Cameo Gordon of Atlanta; nine brothers, Lee Fisher of Denver, Colo., and Johnnie Crier, Larry Buchanan, Jermyne Buchanan, Derrick Stevenson, Markus Ambrose, Isaiah Buchanan, Toyreon Stevenson and DeAmonte Buchanan, all of Waterloo; and seven sisters, Alice Kendall and Blondie Crump, both of Tupelo, Miss., and Veronica Buchanan, Titania Buchanan, Shayla Stevenson, Lillie (Bri) Phillips and D'Lesia Crier, all of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: her mother.
