WATERLOO, IOWA - Marguerite L. Leister, 87, of Waterloo, died Thursday, May 6, at Rolling Green Nursing Home, Nevada.

She was born June 17, 1922, in West Lima, Wis., daughter of Ervin and Rosa Bean Howard. She married Vernell Leister on Feb. 11, 1943, in Rapid City, S.D. He died Sept. 15, 1995.

Survived by: a daughter, Dee (Larry) Zobel of Waterloo; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a brother, Richard Howard.

Services: 3:30 p.m. today at Garden View Chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation for an hour before services today at the chapel. There was a Fraternal Order of Eagles service Sunday at the chapel.
