CEDAR FALLS - Janyth "Sue" Ridder, 65, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, Sept. 25, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo.

She was born Oct. 24, 1943, in Marshalltown, daughter of James and Faye Grieves Bossert. She married Chuck Ridder on Dec. 15, 1962, at First Christian Church, Cedar Falls.

Mrs. Ridder graduated from Pitze's School of Beauty in 1962, was a homemaker, a member of First Christian Church, and was a volunteer at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, from 2002 to 2007.

Survived by: her husband; a daughter, Tami (Mike) Jensen of Cedar Falls; a son, Tom (Sherri) of Cedar Falls; five grandchildren, Justin and Ashleigh Jensen, and Jaylen, Jared and Jackson Ridder; her mother of Cedar Falls; and a sister, Bette (Jim) Lynch of Minnesota.

Preceded in death by: her father; and a daughter, Michelle "Shelli" Ridder.

Graveside services: 1:30 p.m. Monday at Fairview Cemetery. Public visitation from 2 to 5 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home.

Memorials: may be directed to First Christian Church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
