WATERLOO - Laurie F. Massina, 56, of Waterloo, died Saturday, Sept. 26, at Covenant Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 6, 1953, in Red Wing, Minn., daughter of Spencer L. and Betty J. Boe Larson. She married Michael J. Massina on Sept. 10, 1977, in Waseca, Minn.

She graduated from Waseca High School and from Drake University in 1976. Mrs. Massina was a registered pharmacist for 23 years, the last 15 years at Covenant Medical Center, retiring in December 1999.

Survived by: her husband; her mother, Betty Larson of Waseca; three sons, Timothy M., Christopher J. and Nicholas J., all of Waterloo; a daughter, Katherine L. Massina of Waterloo; two sisters, her twin, Lynne Gronert of Henderson, Nev., and Julie (Joseph) Witte of Centennial, Colo.; two brothers, Dr. Joel (Michele) Larson of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Scott (Nancy) Larson of Tiburon, Calif.; her mother-in-law, Grace Massina of Waterloo; a sister-in-law, Cathy (Terry) Gabbard of Waterloo; 13 nephews and nieces; and three grand-nephews.

Preceded in death by: her father, Spencer Larson; and her father-in-law, Frank Massina.

Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity American Lutheran Church, with inurnment in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to the family, Trinity Lutheran Church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
