James L. Farrell, 58, of Hudson died Saturday afternoon (Feb. 27, 2010) at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

He was born March 10, 1951 in Waterloo the son of Dan and Marcella Cranney Farrell. He married Peggy Jensen on August 30, 1997 in Hudson.

Jim worked at Land-o-Lakes, Pepsi Co., Iowa Metal Spinners and Richelau Foods.

He is survived by his wife, one son: Michael of Waterloo, two daughters; Melanie DeVries of Waterloo, Summer Baird of Hudson, his special dog: Cody, two brothers: Tony Farrell of Reinbeck, Kevin (Sandy Jo) Farrell of Beaver Dam, WI., eight sisters: Mary Shaffer of Collinsville, IL., Bonnie (Gary) Hinrichs of Phoenix, AZ., Sister Patricia Farrell of Dubuque, Sandra Farrell of Des Moines, Jacque (Colin) Neil of Waupaca, WI., Margaret Farrell of Cedar Rapids, Karen Farrell of Waterloo, Nikki (Tim) LaCrosse of Simi Valley, CA., two grandchildren: Noah Metcalf and Madeline Farrell and many loved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one daughter: Juli Farrell, one brother: Daniel Farrell, and one sister: Joanne Farrell.

Services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, Mar 3, at the Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
