William Burger, 65, died Saturday in his home northeast of St. Francis hospital of heart disease and complications.

He was born Jan. 17, 1877, in Germany, son of Frank and Elizabeth Burger. He came to America with his parents when he was 5, the family settling at Eagle Center, Ia. Later they moved to Fox township.

Mr. Burger married Katherine Schmidt of Gilbertville May 3, 1899.

Surviving are the widow; two daughters and three sons, Mrs. Ivan Holdiman, Mrs. W. J. Lamb and Frank, all of Waterloo; Burton of Dewar and Ray, at home; 11 grandchildren; a brother, John, Washburn, and a sister, Mrs. Nick Kemp, Waterloo. His parents are dead, as are a daughter, Mrs. Peter Wood; a brother, Henry, and a brother and a sister who died in childhood.

Funeral will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. John's Catholic church by Rev. Fr. Nicholas J. Lentz, pastor.

The body is at the home.

Wills Filed for Probate

Burger, William: Died April 18, Waterloo; will dated Nov. 10, 1941, leaves $5 each to children, Elizabeth Holdiman, Bertha Lamb, Frank, Raphael and Burton, and granddaughter, Mary Jane Woods; rest to wife, Katherine; son, Burton, Dewar, Ia., nominated executor.

Notice -- Of Proof of Will, No. 13072, State of Iowa, Black Hawk County. In the district court, March term, 1942.

To all whom it may concern: You are hereby notified that an instrument of writing purporting to be the last will and testament of W. Burger, deceased, having been this day filed, opened and read. Tuesday the 28th day of April, 1942, is fixed for hearing proof of same.
