MRS. BERT FURNEAUX

Mrs. Bert (Ruth) Furneaux, 60, of 450 Cutler St., died yesterday at 12:30 p.m. at Allen Memorial Hospital, where she was admitted earlier in the day. Cause of death was not known, and an autopsy was planned.

Mrs. Furneaux was born Jan. 21, 1901, in Hudson, daughter of John Knudsen and Minnie Kroll Knudsen. She was married to Bert Furneaux Feb. 23, 1924 in Waterloo and they lived in Waterloo and vicinity afterwards. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Rebecca Lodge of Hudson.

Survivors include her husband and a half-sister, Mrs. L.W. Jolls, of Santa Monica, Calif., and a brother, Ralph of Des Moines. A son, brother, half-sister and her father preceded her in death.

Funeral services are pending at the Parrott and Wood funeral home. Friends may call after 10 a.m. tomorrow, and are requested to donate to the First Baptist church memorial fund in lieu of giving flowers.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Parrott and Wood funeral home for Mrs. Bert Furneaux, 60, of 450 Cutler St., who died Saturday at Allen Memorial hospital.

The Rev. Franz Oerth, pastor of the First Baptist church, will officiate and burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

Mrs. Furneaux is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Minnie Knudsen of Western Home, Cedar Falls.

The casket will not be opened following service.
