MRS. FRED WIELAND

Mrs. Fred W. Wieland, 68, of 563 Burton avenue, died at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Allen Memorial hospital after an illness which followed a stroke suffered on April 15.

She was born Mary Kroll in Waterloo Dec. 9, 1873, the daughter of Ferdinand and Augusta Kroll.

She was one of seven children. Five brothers preceded her in death.

She was married to Fred W. Wieland Nov. 27, 1898 in Waterloo.

Surviving are her husband, who has been engaged in the tailoring business in Waterloo for many years; one sister, Mrs. J.C. Knudsen, 205 Williston avenue, and several nephews and nieces.

Mrs. Wieland was a member of First Presbyterian church.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Kearns Garden chapel by Rev. H.E. Dierenfield, pastor of First Presbyterian church. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Martin Forthun, William Lingelbach, John Lingelbach, John Boller, Guy Pettay and Gilbert Ogaard.
