LICHTY, UPDIKE, SCHUCKNECHT, BEHRENS, BRADFORD, COOK, RICE, HUNT

Mrs. Hattie Luella Lichty, 68, of 1202 Mulberry street, died Sunday at 1:55 p. m. at Allen Memorial hospital of complications due to uremia.
The daughter of Levi and Emma Updike, she was born in Grundy Center, Ia., May 28, 1881. She spent most of her youth in and around Black Hawk county.

In 1900 she was married to Herman Schucknecht in Waterloo. They made their home in Quincy, Ill., where he died in 1934.

She was married to Claude S. Lichty at Quincy, Dec. 24, 1936. The couple lived in Waterloo since the marriage.

Mrs. Lichty was a member of Grace Methodist church and Lincoln circle of GAR.

Surviving are her husband, at home; her mother, Mrs. Emma Updike, Mason City, Ia.; a daughter, Mrs. Ernest Behrens, Quincy, Ill.; two granddaughters, three great grandchildren, a brother, Lloyd Updike, Edgewater, Wis.; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Bradford, Eagle Grove, Ia.; Mrs. Fred Cook, Denver, Colo, and Mrs. J. L. Rice, Mason City, Ia.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p. m. at Parrott & Wood funeral home by Rev. George G. Hunt of Grace Methodist church.
Burial will be in Waterloo cemetery.
