Hudson—Funeral services for 43-year-old Hudson farmer Clarence Clayton Hinson will be at 2 p. m. Friday at the Hudson Community Church.
Hinson’s death Monday was ruled a suicide. He was found in the basement of his home west of Hudson by his mother, Mrs. Lottie Hinson. She said he had been despondent over domestic matters. Mr. Hinson took his life with a shotgun Coroner Sidney Smith said.
The Rev. Chester B. McKean, pastor of the Hudson church, wil officiate at the funeral services. Burial will be in the Hudson cemetery.
The casket will be taken to the church at noon Friday from the Locke funeral home Waterloo. It will not be opened.
Mr. Hinson was born April 25, 1917, in Wayne county, Ill., the son of Glenn F. and Lottie Willis Hinson. He lived in Hudson most of his life, and was a member of the Community Church. He married Mavis Lichty March 4, 1945, in Waterloo.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Cathy, 11, and Cheryl, 7, and a son, Craig, 2; three brothers, Corwin, Rt. 4, Cedar Falls, Leland, 210 Gayle St., and Gerald, 1830 Williston Ave.; a sister, Mrs. Louis Garrett, 419 Leland Ave., and his mother, Rt. 1, Hudson.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, who died in infancy.
