LICHTY, BLOUGH, MILLER, SMITH, KOUGH

Mrs. R. H. Lichty, Route 4, a Black Hawk county resident since 1907, died at 10 a.m. Friday at her home in Orange township of carcinoma. She was 58 years old.

She came here from Pennsylvania, where she was born, and taught school in Orange township rural schools for four years.

A daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Blough, she was born Dec. 25, 1882, in Salisbury, Pa., as Lillian Elizabeth Blough. She was married to R. H. Lichty on March 10, 1911, in Orange township, and the couple has lived there since. Mr. Lichty is a farmer.

Surviving, besides the husband, are two sons, Max B., at home, and Robert F., Humboldt, Iowa; three brothers and four sisters. The brothers are W. G. Blough, Cresaptown, Md.; John Blough, Harrisburg, Pa., and Earl Blough, Frostburg, Md., and the sisters are Mrs. William Miller, Myersdale, Pa., Mrs. E. S. Bowman, Cresaptown, Md.; Mrs. Guy Smith, Berlin, Pa., and Mrs. Floyd Kough, 918 Washington street.

There is also a grandson. One sister and the parents are dead. Mrs. Lichty was a niece of Rev. A. P. Blough, pastor of Waterloo Church of the Brethren, at whose home her brother Earl is now visiting.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p. m. Sunday in South Waterloo Church of the Brethren by Rev. W. H. Yoder, pastor, and burial will be in Orange Township cemetery.

A prayer service will be at 1:30 p. m. Sunday at the Peterson Brothers funeral home. The body may be seen at the funeral home after noon Saturday.
