Miss Lichty Dies at Sister’s Home

Miss Adeline Lichty passed away last night at eleven o’clock at the home of her sister, Mrs. Lydia Brown, 808 South street. Miss Lichty’s death ended a lingering illness of several month’s duration. The arrangements for the funeral services and the place on interment will be announced later. --Waterloo Times-Tribune, Waterloo, Iowa (13 Nov 1914)

Funeral Sunday for Miss Lichty

Funeral services for Miss Adeline Lichty, who died Thursday night at the home of her sister, Mrs. Lydia Brown, 808 South street, will take place Sunday morning at 11 o’clock from the Orange township Brethren church with Rev. Albert P. Blough officiating. A prayer service at the home at 9:45 o’clock Sunday morning will precede the services at the church. Interment will be in Orange cemetery.

Miss Lichty was born in Somerset county, Pa., November 21, 1847. She came to Iowa with her parents and the family settled on a farm in Orange township. Her father died fifteen years ago, and after her mother’s death seven years ago, she moved to Waterloo and made her home with Mrs. Brown.

The remains were removed to Peterson Brothers undertaking parlors to be prepared for burial. Those caring to view the remains may call today at the undertaking parlors, 221 West Fourth street.
