Martha F. Kroll

Funeral services for Martha F. Kroll of Waterloo, 81, were held Monday, March 23, at 1:30 p.m. at Trinity American Lutheran Church in Waterloo with burial at Tripoli.

Mrs. Kroll died Thursday, Mar. 19, at her home in Waterloo.

She was born Feb. 25, 1900, in Leroy Township, Bremer County, Iowa, the daughter of Ernest and Emma Buls Hagen. She married Carl Kroll, June 18, 1919 in Tripoli. They lived in Tripoli until 1941 when they moved to Waterloo. He died in 1963.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Clarence Meewes of Cedar Falls and Mrs. Dan Jones of Yuma, Ariz.; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Alvina Gaede of Waverly, Mrs. Amanda Sverdahl of Friendship Village in Waterloo and Mrs. Hulda Mahlstedt of Tripoli.

Preceding her in death were her husband; her parents; three sisters, Bertha Nacke, Ida Neuendorf and twin sister Metha Sell; two brothers, William and Henry Hagen; and a daughter, Arlene.

Parrott and Wood Funeral Home of Waterloo was in charge of arrangements.
